Programming Announcements Guidelines

MNA encourages organizations to submit their programming announcements to our website. To be accepted your programming must be a subject that is of professional interest to our membership. Our membership consists of naturalists working with the public at nature centers; county, state, or federal government facilities; religious institutions, etc.

Most general public education programming will not satisfy the professional development criteria. For instance, we do not accept announcements for events that are directed to elementary school audiences, but will accept announcements for EE conferences, or symposia on learning theory, issues in non-profit management, volunteer retention, etc.

MNA recognizes that some specialized or particularly demanding public programming will satisfy the professional development criteria, for instance, wilderness leadership skills or first aid training. Contact Gordon Dietzman using the contact information below if you have questions.

Announcements are accepted only in electronic formats with minimal formatting. MNA accepts Word document formats, rich text format (RTF), or the announcement text may be typed directly into the body of the e-mail. We do not accept PDF documents or graphics, including photographs. Please be sure that the announcement is properly edited, as we do not provide this service.

You will receive a confirming e-mail once the announcement is posted. Please review the posting immediately for errors following instructions in the e-mail.

Submit announcements to Gordon Dietzman at gdietzman@visi.com. Call with questions at 651-487-1270.
